There are two things I really love in this world:

Deliciousness and a Bargain!

That’s why I’ve chosen these select few companies to share with you on my website.  I use them myself and I think each one is great.  Here’s why:

Vitamix
This is the most bad ass blender around (sorry for the language, but it’s true).  It’ll turn a brick into a smooth-as-silk puree.  Ok, maybe not a brick (so don’t try it) but pretty much anything else.  We’ve used it for so many things in the restaurant… mostly soups, sauces and even sorbets but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.  It has taken the use and abuse of a restaurant kitchen for over 8 years and still keeps on keepin’ on.  Kinda pricey, but so worth it.  It’s a serious machine.  Want more info?  www.vita-reviews.com.

Honesty, just because a girl’s gotta have something adorable to cook in!

Artisanal Cheese
Unfortunately, we can’t all have an amazing selection of handmade cheese at our local grocery store.  But luckily for us, we can have it delivered to our door.  Plus, Artisanal has a ton of other useful info like recipes, pairing advise, descriptions/definitions of cheese types and a useful glossary AND they’re nice enough to give a 15% discount on your first order when clicking a link on my site by using code CJ15. I’m sorry, AND there’s free shipping! Whaaaat?! Who needs a grocery store?

IllyCaffe
Mmmmm…. cofffffeeeee….
I love illy coffee and espresso.  It’s so delicious.  We’ve been using it in the restaurant for years.  They’re the real deal Italian coffee based in Torino, Italy.  Let’s just say that I keep a 6.6 lb tin of it in my pantry because heaven forbid I run out!

Francis Francis X8 for only $175

Restaurant.com
These guys have deals on soooo many places.  You basically buy a gift certificate with a way higher dollar value than what you purchased it for.  You can search your city for a serious abundance of choices.  And when you dine out as much as I do, it’s better to do it on a discount.  Actually, now that I think about it, everything is better with a discount.

Food For A Fraction Of The Cost

BuyWithMe and Groupon
If you aren’t signed up for these bargain websites, you really ought to be.  If you’re unfamiliar (then you should probably come out from under your rock and join the rest of the world:) it’s where you get one deal per day delivered to your inbox and you decide if you want to buy it or not.  They aren’t always restaurants but a good number of them are and it’s always at least half off.  I figure you might as well have them all sent to you so you can choose the best deals.

Daily Gourmet
These guys are cool because they promote lesser known, mom-n-pop type artisanal and handmade food goods.  It has the back story of the producer so you know exactly where it’s coming from and who’s making it.  It’s always nice to learn new things about what people are creating out there.  You never know what you’re going to discover!
